Job purpose
The Physician plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality primary care services to our patients with a focus on HRT delivery. The incumbent serves as the clinical lead for primary care, medical, and gender-affirming care services for 26Health across all current and future clinics. This role is ideal for a physician who is trained or has experience in the Endocrinology field with also the desire to deliver the best in primary care for the patients we serve.
Duties and responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive medical evaluations, diagnoses medical conditions, and develops individualized treatment plans.
- Provides primary care services, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, and preventive care.
- Offers specialized care in Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).
- Serves as clinical lead for primary care, medical, and gender-affirming care across all 26Health service locations.
- Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals within the organization to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Consult with specialists when needed for complex medical cases.
- Acts as a resource for fellow healthcare providers, sharing expertise in HRT or endocrinology.
- Educates patients on their medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Provides counseling and guidance to patients on lifestyle modifications and health promotion.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for all patients.
- Completes required documentation in a timely and compliant manner.
- Adheres to clinical guidelines and best practices in patient care.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives and contributes to the clinic's commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- State medical license, and DEA registration in good standing.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to provide comprehensive primary care.
- Expertise in Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) to different patient groups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care.
- Leadership skills and the ability to work closely with other medical providers and supervise HRT Treatments
Working conditions
- Walking, and/or sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.
- Work may be required in various environments as needed by project/activity.

- May require the occasional ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
